Bicycle hire is available at Trumland Organic Farm, a 5-minute’ walk from the Rousay Pier. Bikes (both pedal and e-bikes) can be hired per day, with helmets and water bottles included.
Pre-booking is recommended.
The Development trust offices are based near the ferry terminal. The ‘drop in’ hours are: Mon-Wed 9am-12.30pm Other times by appointment. The Egilsay Community Centre offers self-service tea and coffee facilities, a seating area and also houses the island’s heritage room, with information about the island’s history, people and culture.
The Rousay Heritage Centre, located at the ferry terminal, presents a rich and detailed history of Rousay, including information about its archaeology, nature, wildlife, geology and people.
