Bringing Opportunity To The Islands

Living and working on our three islands is the dream for many people and is perfectly possible! With more and more people working remotely, it opens up opportunities for many to be able to work in amazing places like Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre.

Our excellent Ferry service opens up the possibility of having a job on Rousay, Egilsay and Wyre.

Travel to and from Rousay from Tingwall is just a 20 minute journey by ferry. The ferry is based on Rousay, and services Egilsay & Wyre first thing in the morning, before leaving Rousay for Mainland at 07:45, arriving at Tingwall at 08:05am, with the return from Tingwall arriving back to Rousay just before 9am. The ferry runs 6 return trips throughout the day, with the last return journey at 18:00.

A bus service also co-ordinates with the ferry times from Tingwall, giving direct services to and from Kirkwall.
